STORMBRAKE OSD - PAKENHAM
Protector Australia recently completed the construction and supply of an advanced stormwater management system for Northwest Primary School in Pakenham. This project, commissioned by North Melbourne Plumbing, includes an EnviroSave filtration system with a 24 L/s flow rate and a 260m³ StormBrake On-Site Detention (OSD) system, ensuring compliance with Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) standards.
The StormBrake OSD system provides reliable stormwater detention, reducing peak flow rates and easing pressure on local drainage networks. Meanwhile, the EnviroSave filtration system captures and treats stormwater runoff, removing pollutants and improving water quality before discharge back into the environment.
Together, these systems form a treatment train that creates a resilient, eco-friendly stormwater solution for Northwest Primary School. By actively managing runoff and improving water quality, they help the school meet regulatory standards while benefiting the surrounding ecosystem. Protector Australia is proud to support sustainable infrastructure in educational settings, advancing water-sensitive design in community development.
