The EcoProtector has been designed to trap solid debris including sediment and hydrocarbons under low-velocity conditions. These units are commonly used as primary treatment for the removal of pollutants in areas such as; residential subdivisions, roads, cars, parks, industrial applications, and other impervious areas that require stormwater treatment. The EcoProtector functions by physical screening, rapid sedimentation, and hydrodynamic separation processes. The EcoProtector is a primary treatment device designed to remove high loads of stormwater pollutants. The Protector Ecoprotector GPT features an advanced inlet weir, which generates a smooth fluid part to a vortex funnel for the transfer of pollutants into the storage chamber. It separates and captures gross pollutants, sediments, silt, total suspended solids, some nutrients, and oil and grease. During a storm event, when there is a large stormwater inflow entering the Ecoprotector, water can discharge freely over the weir to prevent any flow restriction. Captured hydrocarbons rise to the surface of the storage chamber and are retained without resuspension during high-flow events. The outlet riser is integrated into the bypass duct, providing added strength and durability. The Ecoprotector is a fully assembled, one-piece unit manufactured from strong Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), which simplifies handling and reduces installation costs due to its weight-saving advantages. The internal surfaces of the device have a smooth finish that resists the buildup of residue, making it easy to maintain. The Ecoprotector GPTs have been engineered to withstand the toughest environmental situations, such as high water tables. Treatments flow rates on standard units of up to 1905LPS and can fit pipe sizes from 100mm to 1800mm. with other sizes available upon request.
